The International Nut & Dried Fruit Council (INC) forecasts world tree nut production to increase 5.77% in 2016/17 to reach 4.02 mln tonnes from 3.80 million tonnes in 2015/16. This data appears in the INC’s latest Global Statistical Review.
The global cashew nut kernel supply was significantly down this year and additional problems are expected for next year, Global Trading & Agency noted in its final report of 2016.
